What is [community profile] cookability?

Cookability is a community for sharing recipes, tips and practical discussion geared toward aiding people with limited ability or limited energy to create satisfying, tasty dishes while preserving our "spoons."

Spoons?

If you're not familiar with this usage of "spoons" please read Christine Miserandino's Spoon Theory, an excellent and widely adopted analogy to explain what it's like to live with a chronic illness.

Ability?

Within our context, ability doesn't mean technical kitchen skills (i.e. "I don't know how to properly peel an acorn squash" or "how do you blanch?") but personal ability which is limited due to disability, injury or illness.
